Silence his combo — Q-zone, out-scale him.
Track: Gragas's E — Body Slam (14–12s cooldown). His engage. Q-peel after it.
Read from Cho'Gath's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Gragas.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Even / skill | His Q pool pokes and heals while you have no sustain edge yet — match CS at range and don't commit a Rupture he can pool through or sidestep. |
| Level 2 | Gragas | This is your weak window: he can Body Slam in, combo with an empowered Drunken Rage auto, and dash out before your slow Rupture lands, so concede the level and farm safe. |
| Level 3 | Cho'Gath | With Rupture into Feral Scream online you knock him up and silence him out of his Q-pool sustain — punish the moment he steps up to last-hit, before Body Slam is back up. |
| Levels 4-5 | Cho'Gath | Your Carnivore kill-sustain and Vorpal Spikes max-HP farm out-attrition his Q-pool healing, tilting extended trades your way as you stabilize. |
| Level 6 | Cho'Gath | Feast is a true-damage execute that ignores armor and MR, so his Drunken Rage reduction and HP soften it far less than your magic combo — your all-in beats what his brawl can trade back. |
| First item | Cho'Gath | Your tank-component spike plus Carnivore sustain owns the long trades his AP poke can't burst you out of. |
| Two+ items | Cho'Gath | Stacked Feast makes you near-unkillable to his AP damage while Feast still executes him — and he has no true or percent-HP damage to reclaim the lane. |
Gragas can contest you levels 1-3 because his Q pool both pokes and heals, while his Body Slam (E) lets him dive in, trade, and dash back out before your slow, telegraphed Rupture lands. Don't throw a Q he can sidestep mid-cast, and respect that his Drunken Rage-empowered autos give him real burst before your kit is fully online. Last-hit at the edge of Vorpal Spikes range, soak the Q poke, and lean on Carnivore — his pool heal doesn't out-pace your kill-sustain over a full wave.
