Ambessa is most dangerous in the first three levels, when my only real tool is Rupture and she has her full dash-and-W combo to weave around it. Her dashes let her sidestep my delayed ground-burst, so I don't throw Q on cooldown into open ground — I hold it for the moment she commits a dash and is locked in animation. Last-hit at range, lean on Carnivore's kill sustain to recover the chip she lands, and never push up far enough that her dash chain reaches me while my Feral Scream is down.
