How to win lane as Aurora against Wukong · 49.64% win rate over 137 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Wukong | Wukong's Crushing Blow out-damages your single-spell level-1 and his passive armor blunts your autos — you have no Across the Veil escape yet, so concede it. |
| Level 2 | Even / skill | Your Q-plus-E poke comes online but his Nimbus Strike dash all-in still threatens — neither side owns levels 3-5 cleanly, so trade carefully at Q-missile range. |
| Level 3 | Aurora | With Twofold Hex curse-recall and The Weirding slow you start the poke war his armor-shred can't answer, and Spirit Abjuration heals the chip back. |
| Levels 4-5 | Aurora | Your Q cooldown, passive healing, and W reset line up before ultimates while his stacked armor is dead weight against your AP. |
| Level 6 | Even / skill | His Cyclone knockup all-in arrives but Between Worlds zones it and Across the Veil leaps you untargetable through the clone bait — a genuine even all-in window. |
| First item | Aurora | Your Luden's/Malignance first-item spike sharpens the curse-recall burst and out-paces his bruiser item curve, so you win the mid-game skirmish picks. |
| Two+ items | Wukong | Wukong scales into a teamfight diver whose Cyclone catches your whole backline, and outside the 1v1 his armor and tankiness outvalue your picks — close games before he groups. |
Wukong's level-1 is the stronger one — Crushing Blow (Q) out-damages your single-spell start and his passive armor blunts your autos, so concede the level and last-hit at the tip of your Q missile. Once you have Q and E online around 3 it evens out: throw Twofold Hex, recast to drag the curse back for the second hit, and use The Weirding to slow-and-hop backward if he Nimbus-Strikes at you. His armor and Q armor-shred do nothing against your AP, so don't fear extended pokes — your passive heals the chip back. Just respect his E dash, because pre-6 you have no Across the Veil escape from a level-3 all-in.
