How to win lane as Akali against Nasus · 54.5% win rate (1,004 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
He out-sustains your burst and out-scales you. Deny stacks early, but the longer it goes the more he 1v1s you.
Track: Nasus's W — Wither (15–11s cooldown). His only kite. Shroud through it.
Read from Akali's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Nasus.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Akali | Nasus has no level-1 combat outside Wither and no way to punish a shove — push in and deny his very first Q stacks. |
| Level 2 | Akali | He still can't trade back; your Q out-ranges his stacking autos and your passive ring punishes every walk-up to a minion. |
| Level 3 | Akali | With Q and your passive online you out-poke a Nasus who can only farm — keep him off cannon stacks and behind on damage. |
| Levels 4-5 | Akali | Shroud comes online: you reset every trade he starts and tax the greedy last-hits he can't skip. |
| Level 6 | Akali | Perfect Execution is a free all-in — E-dash in, two-part R for the execute — but open it before he answers with Fury of the Sands. |
| First item | Akali | Your Rocketbelt/Lich Bane burst beats a Nasus whose first item is tank stats, not damage — force the all-in before he scales. |
| Two+ items | Nasus | Stacked Q, Wither and Spirit Visage make him too durable to burst while his slow guts your kite — at 2+ items he owns the duel. |
Nasus has zero pre-6 kill pressure — no dash, no gap-close, and Wither is his only combat tool — so the early game is entirely about starving his Q stacks. Last-hit with the tip of your Q and proc your passive ring so that every time he walks up to last-hit he eats an empowered auto. He can't punish you for shoving, so push him under tower and make him choose between farm and HP. Just respect that one Wither turns a winning trade catastrophic — don't dive before you have Shroud up to bail.
