How to win lane as Twisted Fate against Zed · 51.76% win rate over 4,061 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Zed | Zed's Razor Shuriken poke plus Electrocute chunks you on every step-up, so level 1 is his. |
| Level 2 | Zed | At 2 his Q-E combo out-trades anything you have and you still lack a reliable stun, keeping tempo on Zed. |
| Level 3 | Even / skill | With Pick a Card and Stacked Deck online it becomes a read -- your stun and push answer his poke if you land it. |
| Levels 4-5 | Even / skill | Both are farming and looking to roam; your waveclear trades evenly with his ranged harass here. |
| Level 6 | Zed | Zed's Death Mark all-in can delete you at 6 while your Destiny offers no combat answer, so the level favors him. |
| First item | Zed | His first lethality item lets him one-combo you from full, so the item spike is firmly his. |
| Two+ items | Even / skill | Late, your global roams and AoE teamfighting offset Zed's single-target pick threat, so it evens out. |
Zed bullies the first two levels: his Razor Shuriken Q pokes you for free and, paired with Electrocute, chunks you every time you step up to farm. You have no way to answer his ranged Q harass at 1-2, and your Yellow Card stun is too slow to catch him once he has Living Shadow to reposition. Farm with Blue Card for the mana sustain, take last-hits under tower when he zones, and don't burn Flash on early poke. Give up a little CS rather than eating a full Q-E-Shuriken combo you can't trade back into.
