How to win lane as Fizz against Qiyana · 54.49% win rate over 1,593 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Qiyana | Qiyana's terrain-fueled all-in out-trades anything you can answer with at level 1 |
| Level 2 | Qiyana | Same story at level 2 — she keeps the terrain advantage and the tempo |
| Level 3 | Qiyana | Level 3 she's still ahead on burst potential off any nearby wall or brush |
| Levels 4-5 | Qiyana | Levels 4-5 her damage lead compounds before your kit comes online |
| Level 6 | Fizz | At 6 your ult resets and disengage options let you flip the all-in back to even |
| First item | Fizz | First item Riftmaker/Nashor's pushes your burst-per-cooldown ahead of hers |
| Two+ items | Fizz | Late game your split-push scaling and Zhonya's outclass her flat damage ceiling |
Qiyana's kit is built around abusing the terrain-dense mid lane — every wall and brush patch is a free damage and CC amplifier, so from levels 1 through 5 she can all-in you off cooldown with an empowered Q or E-Q combo you can't out-trade with basic Fizz pokes. You have to bait those terrain procs away from walls or eat a stun-into-burst combo you simply lose. Her Elemental Wrath at 6 adds a knockup and a big nuke that can flat-out kill you if she's already ahead, so this window is hers to press.
