How to win the jungle race as Vi against Bel'Veth · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Read from Vi's seat: the race windows this plan plays for against Bel'Veth.
| Stage | Read | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 Clear | Respect Bel'Veth | Void Surge dashes make their trades untouchable against slower kits, and Vi has no clean answer to it at the first buff — true-damage Lavender stacks and quadruple dashes out-scale every extra second of a fight. Trade in short bursts only — extended fights feed her passive stacks, and give up your opening camps rather than the kill. |
| Level 2 Skirmish | Respect Bel'Veth | The window on the second camp belongs to Bel'Veth: Above and Below's knock-up sets up a free trade window on cooldown. Your own line is real — Denting Blows shred starts beating slower kits in extended exchanges — but it arrives second here. Trade in short bursts only — extended fights feed her passive stacks, then refuse the level-2 skirmish. |
| Level 3 Route | Respect Bel'Veth | At level 3 this window belongs to Bel'Veth: all four dash directions plus the W knock-up make the extended duel theirs, and true-damage Lavender stacks and quadruple dashes out-scale every extra second of a fight. Trade in short bursts only — extended fights feed her passive stacks. Give up the level-3 river fight and bank tempo on the opposite side of the map. |
| Levels 4-5 Macro | Respect Bel'Veth — Path Opposite | Do not trade windows with Bel'Veth here: Void Surge lets her cross the map between camps, so 4-5 is spent stacking Death in Lavender off both jungles. Path opposite, keep your entrances warded, and answer the map, not the champion. |
| Level 6 Breakpoint | Respect Bel'Veth's R | True-form Bel'Veth out-duels everything once she banks a Void coral — Vi loses the straight post-6 duel. Deny the coral procs — fight her before the transformation, not after, and shift your pressure to the side of the map their ultimate is not on. |
| First Item Spike | Sundered Sky Spike | Completing your core item triggers a massive damage, health, and sustain multiplier that completely overpowers traditional brawlers or isolated targets. Bel'Veth's first item turns the dash chain into sustained damage — she stops trading and starts running people down. |
| 2+ Items Scaling | Danger — Bel'Veth Outscales | You lose the long game outright: she is a true-form auto-attacker who out-duels almost anything with room to dash, and no build path of yours answers that. Convert every early lead into an objective immediately. |
Start your clear at the Red Buff camp utilizing your E resets to maximize early clear speed. Bel'Veth clears fast and lopsided — the four Void Surge directions let her leave a camp half-done and arrive somewhere she should not be.

Bel'Veth pressures 6 of the 7 windows in this race — survive the early game and scale into your windows.
Not exactly — Bel'Veth pressures 6 of the 7 windows, so Vi is playing catch-up and has to lean on the map.
