How to win the jungle race as Ekko against Lillia · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Read from Ekko's seat: the race windows this plan plays for against Lillia.
| Stage | Read | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 Clear | Even Skirmish | Even at the first buff, for a concrete reason — the Blooming Blows true-damage edge clears fast, while Timewinder poke chips contests, but the early all-in isn't there yet. Commit only with hard CC or a gap-closer in hand — a raw chase is a lost race, and let the camp timers choose the fight for you. |
| Level 2 Skirmish | Even Skirmish | Dead-even on the second camp: Phase Dive hit-and-run trades are decent — pick spots, avoid straight duels, while Watch Out! Eep! center-hits plus passive speed kite melee kits apart. Whoever arrives with more HP and cooldowns wins, so track their clear and pick the moment. |
| Level 3 Route | Respect Lillia | Perma-kiting with passive move speed and the true-damage Q edge means melee never touch her — Ekko has no answer to that at level 3. Dream-dust uptime plus W nukes out-pace anything without a dash on their half of the map too, so give up the level-3 river fight and answer the pressure cross-map. |
| Levels 4-5 Macro | Respect Lillia — Path Opposite | Do not trade windows with Lillia here: she farms 4-5 at speed, kiting with Blooming Blows, and commits only where Swirlseed lands first. Path opposite, keep your entrances warded, and answer the map, not the champion. |
| Level 6 Breakpoint | Even Ult Window | Both sixes are real: Chronobreak insures every dive — commit, nuke, rewind out, while Lilting Lullaby sleeps the whole skirmish. Whoever lands their ultimate first wins the window — track the level race and never be the one caught at five and a half. |
| First Item Spike | Lich Bane Spike | Completing your core item scales your Phase Dive auto-attacks into devastating burst chunks that instantly threaten squishy targets. Your clear velocity scales dramatically, allowing you to instantly clear out camps before executing high-impact side-lane transitions. Use this damage spike to actively hunt down isolated targets inside the river grid. Lillia's first item is when the passing damage becomes real — she stops chipping and starts out-pacing health bars. |
| 2+ Items Scaling | Even Scaling — Prep Decides | Neither of you out-scales the other. She is untouchable dream damage on a permanent kite, and the sleep decides fights, so the late game is decided by who starts the fight, not who wins the stat sheet. |
Start your clear at Blue Buff to optimize early ability haste cycling before running through your multi-monster camps toward the lower scuttle. Track Lillia's initial lane arrivals to verify if they are mirroring your pathing or executing an opposite-side clear away from your path. Lillia clears fast and safely, kiting camps with Blooming Blows, and takes very little damage getting to three.
