How to win lane as Yorick against Sion · 45.45% win rate (2,860 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Dodge his charged Q — swarm his immobile body.
Track: Sion's Q — Decimating Smash (10–6s cooldown). Charged = knockup. Sidestep it.
Read from Yorick's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Sion.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Yorick | You win level 1 because E Mourning Mist and ghoul CS pressure beat Sion's short early range. |
| Level 2 | Sion | A fully charged Decimating Smash knocks up on a 10s cooldown — level 2 is his. |
| Level 3 | Even / skill | Level 3 is even with E Roar of the Slayer poke and W shield stabilizing him. |
| Levels 4-5 | Sion | Sion favors levels 4-5 because a charged Q knock-up into your pile wins the big trade. |
| Level 6 | Even / skill | Eulogy is 160s and Unstoppable Onslaught 140s — both ults are map tools. |
| First item | Sion | You win first item as a Maiden pile out-DPSes his shield once Q is on cooldown. |
| Two+ items | Yorick | Two items in, Maiden and the pack take towers he must leave a fight to defend. |
You start ahead: E Mourning Mist out-ranges his early poke and your ghouls contest CS before Sion's Q Decimating Smash is a threat, so level 1-2 trades favor you.
