How to win lane as Yasuo against Sett · 45.95% win rate (4,605 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Don’t feed grit — dodge his W, flow-trade.
Track: Sett's W — Haymaker (18–12s cooldown). Shield + true damage. Bait it.
Read from Yasuo's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Sett.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Sett | Sett's passive punches and Q out-brawl you at level 1. |
| Level 2 | Sett | Haymaker stores your poke and punishes you at level 2. |
| Level 3 | Sett | His grit shield and W counter dominate the level-3 trade. |
| Levels 4-5 | Sett | Melee brawl and sustain keep his lead through levels 4-5. |
| Level 6 | Sett | The Show Stopper at 6 makes his all-in nearly unbeatable. |
| First item | Yasuo | One crit item still loses to his damage-storing Haymaker. |
| Two+ items | Yasuo | With two crit items you kite, wall, and out-scale his brawl kit. |
Sett bullies levels 1-3: Knuckle Down (Q, 9s at rank 1) puts max-health damage on two punches, and Haymaker (W) banks the damage you deal him and returns it as true damage, so poke and leave instead of standing in his Q window.
