How to win lane as Trundle against Nasus · 44.36% win rate over 266 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Trundle | Chomp (Q) steals his AD on the very first auto — trade immediately at level 1 before he has Wither to punish your commit. |
| Level 2 | Even / skill | He hits level 2 and gains Wither (W); trades become coin-flip depending on whether his slow or your Frozen Domain move-speed wins the exchange. |
| Level 3 | Even / skill | With Q+W+E online you have your strongest pre-6 window, but so does he — short burst trades only, E to cut his retreat, never overstay on his Wither. |
| Levels 4-5 | Nasus | His Q stacks begin hitting hard enough to win extended fights even without Wither; concede extended trades and settle for zone control. |
| Level 6 | Nasus | Subjugate does drain his defensive stats, but Fury of the Sands gives him a massive HP surge and lifesteal that races your drain — only all-in if Wither is on cooldown. |
| First item | Nasus | Sheen-empowered Q damage combined with Wither makes him win most trades you would have survived at level 6; play for objectives and team fights, not the 1v1. |
| Two+ items | Nasus | A fully stacked, two-item Nasus one-shots you through Subjugate — your drain cannot outpace his Q damage and R lifesteal; direct fights are off the table. |
At levels 1-2 you have a genuine window: Chomp (Q) steals his Attack Damage on contact and slows his attack speed, so open every trade with an immediate Q auto and retreat before his Wither (W) comes out. He starts W at level 2 and once it lands on you inside Frozen Domain, your speed advantage evaporates and what should be a winning trade turns into a losing one. The plan is short burst trades — Q in, two autos, Q again on the third auto, walk out. Never let him Wither you while you are committed. Keep him off Q stacks by contesting his farm at the cost of some poke; every stack you deny matters more than any early kill.
