Don't auto-trade; farm at the back of the wave and let Poison Trail tick if he steps into it. At level 2 Fling comes online but he can still out-brawl you if he's healthy, so use E only to send him away, never to initiate. Level 3 is where the lane flips: W-glue under his feet, E-Fling him toward your tower, and run — he eats Poison Trail the whole chase, and with no mobility in his kit the root simply holds him there.
