Darius is one of the strongest level-1 bullies in the game — his passive Hemorrhage stacks off every auto and his Q Decimate heals him at the outer ring while dealing massive damage on the inner ring. Do not trade level 1: farm with Q at max range and use the Ki Barrier shield only to absorb his aggression, not to start fights. At level 2 you get Shadow Dash but using it offensively is a trap — he can Apprehend (E) you immediately out of it or during the taunt lockout, dragging you back into his Hemorrhage window. Levels 3 through 5 are survival: if he pulls you with Apprehend, E-taunt him right as you land to immediately force his autos onto you with reduced incoming damage from each taunted target, then drop W beside the spirit blade to block his follow-up autos and deny two or three bleed stacks. Never let him reach five stacks — that R execute is true damage and kills you even through a full Ki Barrier shield.
