At Level 1 you want Flamespitter in his face immediately — Sylas has no answer to sustained magic damage at close range before he gets his E. Walk at him, but track whether he took E first, because a Level 1 Sylas with E can chain-dash and interrupt your channel. Level 2 is your best moment: Q into double Electro-Harpoon prevents him from walking out of Flamespitter range, and his W drain requires him to be on top of you to heal — do not let him get there. By Level 3 you have the full combo but so does he: his E stun into W drain trades evenly if you mistime Scrap Shield, so bait the dash, pop W when the chain is in the air, and burn him with Danger Zone Flamespitter while he is slowed by your harpoon.
