How to win lane as Nautilus against Yorick · 47.39% win rate (4,123 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Q-hook him off Maiden — W-shield ghoul autos.
Track: Yorick's W — Dark Procession (20–12s cooldown). Traps you for ghouls. Don’t get caged.
Read from Nautilus's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Yorick.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Even / skill | Both of you are weak level 1 with no all-in — your passive root makes auto-trades slightly favorable, but neither owns it yet. |
| Level 2 | Nautilus | Your W shield and burn come online and out-damage his lone ghoul, so a short trade with passive-root tilts your way. |
| Level 3 | Nautilus | With Q + W + E you pull him in, root, and burn before Maiden exists — your hardest punish window all game. |
| Levels 4-5 | Even / skill | His ghoul economy starts matching your trade burst as he approaches 6, so the edge evens out. |
| Level 6 | Yorick | Yorick spikes hardest at 6: E slow plus W wall cage plus Maiden and ghouls overwhelm your single-target CC. |
| First item | Yorick | His first item and Maiden let him wall-trap the side lane and soak your CC while four ghouls chew through your tank stats. |
| Two+ items | Yorick | He hard-scales: Maiden 1v1s anyone, his ghoul wall ignores your low damage, and you flatten into a CC-bot. |
Yorick is weakest before Maiden, so levels 1-3 are your only clean window. Land your Q on Yorick himself, not a ghoul, to pull him in for the passive root, then W-burn and E-slow him while his ghoul count is low. Do NOT walk into his E mist-ring on the ground or you eat the slow and his ghouls swarm the cage. Punish hard now because every level he stalls toward 6, his ghoul economy snowballs against you.
