How to win lane as Nautilus against Darius · 48.68% win rate (7,794 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Survive his early — Q-peel his pull, chain CC.
Track: Darius's E — Apprehend (26–16s cooldown). His all-in start. Q-peel after it.
Read from Nautilus's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Darius.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Darius | Darius walks up and E-pulls you into his Q sweet spot before you have W shield — his level 1 all-in beats your bare passive root. |
| Level 2 | Darius | Still no W or E to answer his empowered Q and bleed stacks; his early all-in remains uncontested. |
| Level 3 | Darius | Your Q-pull-into-root combo lands but he E-pulls back, stacks five Hemorrhage, and out-trades you through it. |
| Levels 4-5 | Darius | His Hemorrhage bleed and Guillotine reset out-DPS your scaling W shield and E across these levels. |
| Level 6 | Even / skill | Even window: Depth Charge's knock-up interrupts his Decimate wind-up, but Noxian Guillotine's true damage grows with every bleed stack. |
| First item | Even / skill | Skill window: you set up ganks with R but he can still all-in solo with E-pull into Guillotine reset — neither cleanly wins. |
| Two+ items | Nautilus | Full tank (Hollow Radiance, Jak'Sho, Thornmail) finally outlasts his bleed in a 1v1 while his damage plateaus and yours never scaled. |
Darius owns these levels and there is no spinning it — Apprehend pulls me right into the blade half of his Q before my W shield exists, and it passively shreds my armour on top of that. My passive root and Q pull look like answers, but every time I commit my Q he just E-pulls me back, stacks five bleeds, and his empowered Q shreds me. Last-hit with Riptide shockwaves from max range, never step inside 535 while Apprehend is up, and save Q to drag myself onto a wall to escape, not to start a fight I lose.
