How to win lane as Nasus against Kayle · 52.64% win rate over 701 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Nasus | Kayle is melee with no ranged form yet, so you walk up and chunk her with an empowered Siphoning Strike every time she steps to last-hit while Soul Eater heals any chip she trades back. |
| Level 2 | Nasus | Still melee and still outclassed up close — Spirit Fire shreds her armor and zones her off the wave so she falls behind on the farm and levels her whole game depends on. |
| Level 3 | Even / skill | It's even — she's stacking her own farm toward 6 while you stack Q, and neither of you can fully punish the other before her ranged form arrives. |
| Levels 4-5 | Kayle | Level 6 hands her the lane: E ranged form plus her Q slow lets her kite you from outside Wither range and R invulnerability blanks any all-in you commit. |
| Level 6 | Kayle | Her R invulnerability resets every trade for free, so you can't cash in Fury of the Sands or Wither on a Kayle who simply presses R and walks it off. |
| First item | Kayle | Her Nashor's/Sheen spike makes ranged-form autos real DPS that out-pokes you from range while you have no gap-closer but Wither to reach her. |
| Two+ items | Nasus | Your stacked Siphoning Strike plus Fury of the Sands and Wither one-shots her squishy frame the instant you land Wither and stick to her — out-scale her kite and end the fight in melee. |
Kayle is melee with no ranged form before level 6, so the first three levels are mine to bully. Every time she walks up to last-hit a cannon I load Siphoning Strike and slap her — I'm not even spending it on the minion, I'm spending it on her face, because she can't trade back without eating Soul Eater lifesteal and a stack. Spirit Fire shreds her armor and zones her off the wave so she misses CS and falls behind on her one real win condition, which is reaching her item spikes. Don't overchase past her tower — she has no escape but she's not worth a dive yet — just deny her farm and make levels 1-3 miserable.
