How to win lane as Karma against Rumble · 47.7% win rate (1,914 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Poke war on your terms — RQ out-trades any single spell, and your shield erases his answer.
Track: Rumble's W — Scrap Shield (6s cooldown). Shield + speed on demand — trade just after he burns it.
Read from Karma's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Rumble.
This is Karma's own plan; across 1,914 pooled games the lane is leaning Rumble.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Karma | Mantra is up from level 1 — open RQ Soulflare from max range while he's forced into Flamespitter's stubby cone just to farm. |
| Level 2 | Karma | Inner Flame out-ranges his short cone, and Gathering Fire refunds Mantra every time you land a Q, so your poke compounds. |
| Level 3 | Karma | Stacked Q/RQ rotations chunk an immobile Rumble who must step into your range each wave to CS, and forcing 100 heat self-silences him. |
| Levels 4-5 | Karma | Your bullying peak — Inspire's shield + speed lets you tax plates and poke before his Danger-Zone DPS comes online. |
| Level 6 | Rumble | The Equalizer (R) is his spike, not yours — his long flame line zones your poke standoff, so this window is genuinely Rumble's. |
| First item | Karma | Your first AP/haste spike sharpens RQ burst and shield, keeping you ahead as long as you stay outside Flamespitter range. |
| Two+ items | Karma | By two items his Danger-Zone Flamespitter DPS and The Equalizer out-damage your single-target chip, and you have no late duel of your own — group instead. |
You out-range Rumble hard here — his Flamespitter (Q) is a short stubby cone, so he has to walk most of the way into you just to farm, and that's exactly where your Inner Flame (Q) and a level-1 RQ Soulflare zone chunk him for free. Don't stand still poking, though: his Electro Harpoon (E) slows you from 850 and shreds your MR, and if it lands he'll cling on with Scrap Shield's (W) move speed for a full Flamespitter channel. Throw Q on cooldown, respect the harpoon, and keep Inspire (E) up to shield the slow and walk away — poke him to 100 heat and he Overheats, unable to cast, which is your cleanest punish.
