How to win lane as Karma against Dr. Mundo · 47.64% win rate (2,859 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
A toll booth he can't afford — RQ every step-up and tether the one chase he tries.
Track: Dr. Mundo's W — Heart Zapper (17–15s cooldown). His burst + sustain window — trade just after he wastes it.
Read from Karma's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Dr. Mundo.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Karma | Mantra is up from level 1, so your RQ Soulflare zone chips him before his regen or Heart Zapper heal can answer it. |
| Level 2 | Even / skill | At level 2 Infected Bonesaw can't out-pressure your single Q, but your thin frame can't punish either — even, and mana-dependent for you. |
| Level 3 | Dr. Mundo | Infected Bonesaw is a 975-range current-health nuke on a 4s cooldown, so he last-hits safely and out-regens your poke. |
| Levels 4-5 | Dr. Mundo | Through 4-5 Heart Zapper's stored-damage heal out-sustains your Q/RQ rotations — you can't tax a target built to out-heal chip. |
| Level 6 | Even / skill | Maximum Dosage heals him but can't lock you down, and your range plus Inspire's speed keep you safe — neither kills the other at 6. |
| First item | Dr. Mundo | His first drain-tank item makes the bonesaw hurt and the heal stick, outvaluing your first AP spike in a straight lane trade. |
| Two+ items | Even / skill | He scales to unkillable, but you out-poke his pushes and out-roam him — if you cashed the lead early the late game stays even. |
Level 1 is genuinely yours — Mantra is up instantly, so open with RQ Soulflare and drop the delayed zone on him as he steps up to last-hit, and his level-1 regen is far too small to erase that chunk. Stack a normal Inner Flame on top and he is pushed off CS with no heal to answer yet. But once Infected Bonesaw and Heart Zapper are online the trade math flips: he last-hits from 975 range, stores your chip in Heart Zapper and heals it back on the burst, and there is nothing to all-in into. Worse, Goes Where He Pleases eats your first root outright — bait it before Focused Resolve is the play.
