How to win lane as Gwen against Teemo · 52.44% win rate (328 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
His blind dulls your autos — build MR, Snip on his blind cooldown.
Track: Teemo's Q — Blinding Dart (7s cooldown). Blinds autos — but not your Q-Snip.
Read from Gwen's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Teemo.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Teemo | Teemo blinds my empowered autos with Blinding Dart and pokes with Toxic Shot while I have no Mist or Skip 'n Slash to close — I just farm and eat it. |
| Level 2 | Even / skill | Even ground: his blind-poke still out-trades a mistless me, but I out-sustain it and he has no escape, so neither side commits. |
| Level 3 | Even / skill | I get Snip Snip! plus Skip 'n Slash to poke-and-reset, but he can blind the dash auto and kite the move speed back — it stays a coinflip skirmish. |
| Levels 4-5 | Teemo | Levels 4-5 are my worst window — still short-range against his blind and poison with no all-in threat yet, so this stretch is his. |
| Level 6 | Gwen | At 6 Needlework plus Hallowed Mist flips it: I make the all-in untargetable, R-slow a champion with no dash, and heal through his DPS. |
| First item | Gwen | Riftmaker online means Snip Snip!'s %-max-HP and true damage plus my ability healing beat his Toxic Shot chip in any extended duel. |
| Two+ items | Even / skill | I still win the 1v1, but his shrooms and splitpush turn it into a map problem — respect mushroom walls and end early. |
Teemo owns the first two levels and I just swallow it — his Blinding Dart turns off my Thousand Cuts on-hit autos and his Toxic Shot poison chips me while I have no Hallowed Mist and no Skip 'n Slash to close. I do NOT walk up to throw a Snip Snip! he can blind through and kite away from; I last-hit at the back of the wave and accept the poison. The saving grace is his DPS can't out-pace my eventual ability healing and he has zero escape the second I do reach him, so I farm toward 6 rather than trade.

Gwen, slightly — a 52.44% win rate edge over 328 games; execution can flip it.
Mostly — Gwen has a small statistical edge (52.44% win rate), but execution decides this lane far more than the pick does.
Not a hard counter — Gwen has a slight edge (52.44% win rate), and play quality decides the rest.
Gwen takes Conqueror on the Precision tree with Triumph, Legend: Alacrity and Last Stand, and Resolve secondary (Second Wind and Bone Plating) vs Teemo.
Start Doran's Shield + Health Potion (vs his poke) and back for Core component + boots (≈1300g). Build Riftmaker (omnivamp + true-damage ramp) first, then Nashor's Tooth, with Mercury's Treads.
