Kassadin is a melee farmer for the first three levels and you abuse exactly that. Chip him with Winds of War tornadoes from range — his anti-AP passive barrier and Null Sphere shield only soak so much, and he has no Riftwalk to disengage. The trap to dodge: don't throw Justice Punch in blind, because his Null Sphere can silence you out of casting it and the shield blanks the first hit anyway. Hold Shield of Durand instead: when he steps up to last-hit and throws Q, ramp the channel, eat the silence on the shield, then release the taunt into a Justice Punch knockup for a clean trade he can't answer.
