Jayce owns the first two levels — Shock Blast fired through his Acceleration Gate hits like a poke laser and you have only Winds of War to answer with, no W up yet. Don't walk up to last-hit into a gated Shock Blast; soak with the tornado's center column and accept the chip. Remember his damage is physical, so Shield of Durand is just flat damage reduction here, not the magic sponge it is elsewhere — its value is the taunt on release. The instant you have all three abilities at Level 3, hold W for when he swaps to hammer stance and steps in to Thundering-Blow you; release the taunt, then E Justice Punch through him for the knockup. His burst is real, but baiting his hammer commit into a charged W-taunt is how he dies.
