How to win lane as Ekko against Lux · 56.07% win rate over 2,340 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Ekko | Level 1: neither has combat power yet, but Lux's Q range means she dictates the trade, not you. |
| Level 2 | Ekko | Level 2: your second point barely changes your all-in threat while her poke keeps landing for free. |
| Level 3 | Ekko | Level 3: W comes online but is too slow to punish her poke in real time, so it's still her lane to press. |
| Levels 4-5 | Ekko | Levels 4-5: you can finally threaten burst off a dodged Q, clawing the lane back toward even. |
| Level 6 | Ekko | Level 6: Chronobreak turns her all-in attempts into her own death sentence, flipping the matchup to you. |
| First item | Ekko | First item: your combo one-shot potential outpaces her scaling utility kit, making short trades lethal. |
| Two+ items | Ekko | 2+ items: full build Ekko out-damages and out-mobilizes a stationary mage with no escape. |
Lux's Q is the whole lane: if she lands it you lose half your HP bar and your trade window, so hug minions and change your walk pattern constantly. Your own poke is worse than hers at level 1-2, so don't trade into a landed Q — just farm and reset. Around level 3 you get W online, but it's slow and telegraphed, so use it defensively to block her all-in rather than offensively. Watch for her E-Q combo near the bush; if she flashes it you're likely dead before level 6.
