How to win the jungle race as Udyr against Vi · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Read from Udyr's seat: the race windows this plan plays for against Vi.
| Stage | Read | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 Clear | Udyr Dominant | A double stance point gives an instant trade pattern most junglers can't answer, while Vault Breaker charge poke plus the Blast Shield wins the first short trade. Only one of those wins at the first buff, so press it: take the level-1 crossing, then leave with a camp and a chunk of their health bar. |
| Level 2 Skirmish | Udyr Dominant | Blazing Stampede's stun plus Wingborne Storm shred wins any straight fight. Denting Blows shred starts beating slower kits in extended exchanges, and with one camp still up on both sides that is not an answer. Take the level-2 skirmish and make Vi path away from the camps you want. |
| Level 3 Route | Udyr Dominant | Four stance points are online and your awakened trades hit their hardest window. There is no version of this Vi wins right now — the full charge-engage with W shred is a clean, honest duel they slightly favor, and that folds at the opening scuttle. Show on their side of the river and take the first scuttle and the gank window behind it. |
| Levels 4-5 Macro | Udyr Dominant — Keep Fighting | Nothing about 4-5 helps Vi here: she spends 4-5 charging Vault Breaker into side lanes, and Denting Blows finishes what the laner starts, while you can take any duel you can reach. Invade on the clear-timer, not on a whim. |
| Level 6 Breakpoint | Stance Mastery Favoured | Awakened stance rotations on four points hit harder than most actual ultimates. Her R is undodgeable lockdown that chains into the full shred combo — respect that one window, but the six-spike comparison favors you: take the post-6 duel whenever HP bars start even. |
| First Item Spike | Trinity / Liandry Spike | Completing your core item triggers a massive damage and clear speed multiplier that completely overpowers traditional brawlers or isolated targets. Vi's first item is where the charge-and-shred pattern stops being a chunk and starts closing out squishier junglers. |
| 2+ Items Scaling | Udyr Favoured at Full Build | Two items on, the edge is yours. The one thing to plan around is that she is point-and-click lockdown on whoever you least want caught — take that away and the fight is a formality. |
Start your clear at the Raptors or Red Buff utilizing Wingborne Storm (R) to maximize early clear speed. Vi clears quickly with Denting Blows shred and the passive shield keeps her healthy, so she paths without recalling early.
