How to win the jungle race as Morgana against Elise · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Read from Morgana's seat: the race windows this plan plays for against Elise.
| Stage | Read | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 Clear | Respect Elise | Cocoon into spider-form burst plus Rappel untargetability wins the level-3 window outright — Morgana has no answer to that at level 1. Cocoon plus spiderling damage starts winning straight fights on their half of the map too, so skip the level-1 crossing and answer the pressure cross-map. |
| Level 2 Skirmish | Danger — Avoid Elise | Elise out-classes you on the second camp — Cocoon plus spiderling damage starts winning straight fights, and Cocoon into spider-form burst plus Rappel untargetability wins the level-3 window outright. Refuse the level-2 skirmish, full-clear away from them, and trade map pressure instead of health. |
| Level 3 Route | Danger — Avoid Elise | Do not be seen at the opening scuttle: Cocoon into spider-form burst plus Rappel untargetability wins the level-3 window outright. On top of that, the famous level-3 spike: Cocoon, Rappel, full spider burst — the strongest duel window in the game, so they get there first. Sidestep the Cocoon and her whole pattern fails — track her, don't coin-flip the stun. Give up the level-3 river fight and farm the opposite quadrant until your spike lands. |
| Levels 4-5 Macro | Respect Elise — Path Opposite | You lose the 4-5 duel. This is her strongest stretch — 4-5 is a Cocoon-hunting window and every gank is worth more than a camp — so let them have that half of the map and cash the other half faster. |
| Level 6 Breakpoint | Soul Shackles Favoured | Soul Shackles plus Black Shield makes 2v2s near your laners unwinnable for them. Cocoon picks plus Rappel untargetability still cash in any mis-step — respect that one window, but the six-spike comparison favors you: take the post-6 duel whenever HP bars start even. |
| First Item Spike | Liandry's / Zhonya's | First items transform your pool and shackles into real kill pressure while the hourglass makes your engage survivable. Your camp economy accelerates past Elise's and your pick game becomes lane-altering. Force fights at pits where your W floors the contest space. Elise's first item keeps the spider-form burst relevant a while longer, but it is the last window where it one-shots. |
| 2+ Items Scaling | Morgana Favoured — Wins Late | The late game is yours. Remember what Elise still is at full build — she falls off — the Cocoon pick still lands but the follow-up no longer kills — and take the fights that do not let it matter. |
Start at the buff adjacent to raptors or krugs — your W wants multi-monster camps immediately. Track Elise's entry side to place your binding-escape route; your clear speed buys you the map's safest farm pattern. Elise clears well off spiderlings and human-form poke, and she is one of the healthiest junglers on the map at three.
