How to win the jungle race as Fiddlesticks against Ekko · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Read from Fiddlesticks's seat: the race windows this plan plays for against Ekko.
| Stage | Read | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 Clear | Respect Ekko | The window at the first buff belongs to Ekko: Phase Dive hit-and-run trades are decent. Your own line is real — effigy bluffs and Bountiful Harvest keep your clear healthy — never fight — but it arrives second here. Step off the W ring the moment it draws and his early kill threat disappears, then skip the level-1 crossing. |
| Level 2 Skirmish | Respect Ekko | At level 2 this window belongs to Ekko: Phase Dive hit-and-run trades are decent, and a triggered Parallel Convergence stun into passive burst is his entire kill script. Step off the W ring the moment it draws and his early kill threat disappears. Refuse the level-2 skirmish and bank tempo on the opposite side of the map. |
| Level 3 Route | Respect Ekko | A triggered Parallel Convergence stun into passive burst is his entire kill script — Fiddlesticks has no answer to that at level 3. Parallel Convergence stun setups give them their first real pick threat on their half of the map too, so give up the level-3 river fight and answer the pressure cross-map. |
| Levels 4-5 Macro | Even — Farm & Track | Levels 4-5 are a stalemate vs Ekko — match their clear speed, keep river vision, and bank gold for the level-6 window instead of coin-flipping. |
| Level 6 Breakpoint | Crowstorm Favoured | A fog-channeled Crowstorm flank deletes whole contests — your game starts now. Chronobreak undoes your best trade and slams you with the rewind nuke — respect that one window, but the six-spike comparison favors you: take the post-6 duel whenever HP bars start even. |
| First Item Spike | Zhonya's / Liandry's | Your first item arms the post-R survival plan: storm in, fear the cluster, and hourglass through the panic while the crows finish. Drag fights toward fog where your channel hides. Ekko's tempo game stops mattering when one flank ult equals four kills. Ekko's first item is the point where his dive stops being a trade and becomes a kill, with the rewind as insurance. |
| 2+ Items Scaling | Even Scaling — Prep Decides | Both kits pay off at 2+ items — late fights vs Ekko come down to who enters with cooldowns, vision, and numbers. Win with setup, not stats. |
Start with W on whichever buff your lanes leash and plant an effigy at the river entrance first. Track Ekko's start side and seed your defensive effigies on their likeliest invade path before minute two. Ekko clears at a fair pace with Timewinder and passive procs, but he takes real damage doing it before level four.
