How to win lane as Yorick against Darius · 56.03% win rate (2,554 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Wall the E-pull with your cage, Maiden out-trades his bleed, and your ghouls + sustain bury his all-in.
Track: Darius's E — Apprehend (26–16s cooldown). His all-in starts on the pull. Bait it.
Read from Yorick's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Darius.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Even / skill | Darius owns level 1 — his blade-edge Decimate out-damages anything you have yet. |
| Level 2 | Even / skill | Darius keeps level 2 — Crippling Strike slows you into his blade edge. |
| Level 3 | Even / skill | Darius holds 3 until Dark Procession is up to cage him. |
| Levels 4-5 | Yorick | Levels 4-5 favour Yorick because W-cage plus E-slow denies his healing outer-Q. |
| Level 6 | Even / skill | Level 6 goes to you — Maiden and ghouls outlast his Guillotine dunk and out-damage it. |
| First item | Yorick | First item favours Yorick as Sunderer-backed ghoul all-ins out-DPS his bleed. |
| Two+ items | Yorick | Two-plus items favour Yorick, whose Maiden split and duel power beat a bleed-reliant Darius. |
Levels 1-2 belong to Darius — he walks up to land the blade edge of Decimate (9s) for the heal and the big damage, so sit behind the minions and last-hit with Last Rites. Apprehend is 26s at rank 1: once he spends it you have half a minute of safety. Buy Grievous Wounds early, because that Decimate heal is what wins him every long trade.
