Level 1 is a genuine standoff — your Q cone does decent damage at range but Nasus cannot be pressured off the wave without a root and he is not committing to trades, so farm safely and watch how he contests. At Level 2, E changes everything: the moment Nasus walks up to Q-stack a minion, throw W on the ground ahead of him to force a slow, then E the root and yank the Soul Fragment. He has no escape and no Wither answer yet, so this is your cleanest punish window. By Level 3 your full W-into-E-into-Q pattern is live, but Wither is also live — never throw E into a Nasus who has Wither available, because he will cast it mid-chase and your root will expire before you close the gap, leaving you slowed and chunked in his auto range.
