Vladimir at levels 1-2 is one of the weakest early laners on the roster — his Q Transfusion has a long cooldown and his only safety valve is Sanguine Pool, which he does not have yet at level 1. Do not run at him mindlessly though: his E Tides of Blood stacks hurt if you stand still, and you are not looking for a brawl at level 1 anyway. Proxy the first wave or set up behind the minion wave and let him push to you. At level 2 your Fling comes online and the calculus shifts — he has no pool to dodge it yet, so W him the instant he steps up to Q you and hurl him into the trailing Poison Trail. This is your cheapest all-in window of the entire game and it costs him significant HP with zero counter-play available.
