At level 1 you have Poison Trail and nothing else — Nasus can absorb the tickle damage and last-hit with impunity while you have no reliable way to punish his melee positioning without Fling. Treat level 1 as a pure farm-and-positioning phase: establish which side of the wave you want for the proxy setup. Level 2 gives you Fling but Wither is not yet a threat on his kit, so you can nudge him off Q stacks by running through him and threatening the E — he cannot afford to auto-trade into a gassed melee range. By level 3, Mega Adhesive online means you have the root-fling combo: bait him to walk up for a Q stack, glue the ground, Fling him backward into the pool and run your Poison Trail over him while he is rooted. The damage is modest but the stack denial and lane presence are real.
