At level 1 you have Poison Trail and nothing else — Darius has Decimate already healing the outer ring of every Q and building his passive bleed. Do not step into melee range for any reason; last-hit at max Q distance and accept the poke. Level 2 brings Fling but Darius also gets Crippling Strike, and his slow into bleed-stack trades still beat your engage. Level 3 adds Mega Adhesive and makes a root-fling possible, but Apprehend hard-counters it: the moment he E-pulls you into bleed, your combo window is gone and you are eating a full passive stack punish. The safest play at all three levels is to never let five Hemorrhage stacks accumulate — one free Decimate hit and you are already at three; take the hit to disengage before the execute becomes live.
