Do not step into melee for any reason; last-hit at max Q distance and accept the poke. Level 2 brings Fling, but he gets Crippling Strike, which is an auto-attack reset, so the tell is the swing wind-up rather than a cast bar — and his slow into bleed stacks still beats your engage. Level 3 adds Mega Adhesive and the real sequence: glue his feet first, then Fling him into the goo, because landing inside the adhesive is what roots him. Apprehend still answers all of it at 26 seconds, so never let five Hemorrhage stacks accumulate — one clean Decimate already puts you at three, and the execute goes live from there.
