Mundo's percent-max-HP Q cleaver is the whole problem early — it chunks you for a flat slice of your big HP bar no matter how I itemize, and his passive heals back the chip my Seismic Shard (Q) pokes him for. So I last-hit at range, dodge his cleaver toss behind minions, and accept that this is a farming lane I lose on poke. Don't walk up to Q him in the open — his Q hits harder than mine and refunds itself.
