Neither of us is a real level-1 threat — I only have Q and she's just placing tentacles, so I farm and chip her with the tip of my Q cleave before her tentacle field grows. The trap is her E: if it rips my spirit I'm fighting my own shadow on top of her, so dodge it or never stand near her tentacles when I trade. By level 3 my Q-W combo is online and I can W-shove her off a tentacle to land a Q3 knock-up, but I do not commit inside the field — every tentacle there slams me.
