Galio is an immobile AP tank with no dash, which is exactly the kind of melee I out-position once my combo comes online. Level 1 I just farm with Ntofo Strikes and eat a little Q wind-shred and passive-auto poke. By level 2 I pick up Path Maker or Footwork and stop conceding; by level 3 I have the full Q-W combo and own the trade — if he steps up to last-hit, I W-charge into the wall to stun him, then Q3 to knock up and pull. The one thing to respect is his W taunt: if I dump Path Maker while it's available he soaks it behind damage reduction, so bait it first.
