At level 1 you both have one ability and no sustain trigger, so just last-hit and respect his E slingshot — if he flies in with the knockup and follows Q grab you can get chunked or chained for a gank. Once you hit 2 with Q+W you take over the trade: W-empower an auto, throw the cask at his feet and detonate, and Happy Hour eats his poke right back while his passive blobs heal far slower than you sustain. His level-3 E-into-Q all-in is the only thing to fear early, so don't walk up with your own E (Body Slam) on cooldown.
