How to win lane as Darius against Karma · 52.68% win rate (4,941 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
She kites your pull — freeze near tower and E-pull the step-up, then run her down.
Track: Karma's W — Focused Resolve (12s cooldown). Her root tether — breaks if you LoS / outrange it.
Read from Darius's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Karma.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Darius | Mantra costs no skill point — her level-1 empowered Inner Flame outranges you. |
| Level 2 | Darius | At level 2 your Q plus Hemorrhage out-damages her Inner Flame poke. |
| Level 3 | Darius | By level 3 E Apprehend catches her through her tether for a full trade. |
| Levels 4-5 | Darius | Levels 4-5 your bleed stacks shred her thin bar while her shield only stalls. |
| Level 6 | Darius | Guillotine's true damage kills at 5 stacks — break her Inspire shield first. |
| First item | Darius | At first item your spike plus stacks kills her inside one all-in. |
| Two+ items | Darius | Late, a squishy no-escape Karma is deleted by your item-backed chain. |
You win from level 1 — Karma has no shove-and-trade tools that beat your Decimate, and her only defence is a Flash, so press her off the wave and deny CS.

Darius, slightly — a 52.68% win rate edge over 4,941 games; execution can flip it.
Mostly — Darius has a small statistical edge (52.68% win rate), but execution decides this lane far more than the pick does.
Not a hard counter — Darius has a slight edge (52.68% win rate), and play quality decides the rest.
Darius takes Conqueror on the Precision tree with Triumph, Legend: Alacrity and Last Stand, and Resolve secondary (Second Wind and Bone Plating) vs Karma.
Start Doran's Shield + Health Potion (vs her poke) and back for Tiamat / Phage + boots (≈1300g). Build Stridebreaker (the stickiness fix — run-downs become lethal) first, then Sterak's Gage (Maw of Malmortius if her burst is magic), with Mercury's Treads.
