The silence cancels whatever I'm mid-cast on and breaks my passive chain, so the empowered Maxim auto never fires — if I throw a Q cone or E spin into his face he just silences, lands the empowered strike, and walks off before my long cooldowns are back. I can't punish that yet: at Levels 1-3 I have one or two abilities, no full combo, and I'm energy-gated. So I farm with the outer edge of my Q, refuse extended trades I can't win, and try to bait his Q before I commit any cast.
