Read from Aatrox's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Gangplank.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Aatrox | Level 1 favours Aatrox — a squishy Gangplank can't punish your step-ups and loses the short trades. |
| Level 2 | Aatrox | Level 2 stays Aatrox's as his base brawl out-trades GP's low-HP Parrrley poke. |
| Level 3 | Aatrox | Level 3 gives Aatrox a real all-in with W chains, E, and the Q sweetspot. |
| Levels 4-5 | Aatrox | Levels 4-5 stay Aatrox's as his drain out-values GP's barrel poke up close. |
| Level 6 | Aatrox | World Ender out-drains his barrel combo and wins the all-in when barrels are down. |
| First item | Aatrox | First item plus grievous wounds punishes his squishy build in trades. |
| Two+ items | Gangplank | Late, GP's global barrels and kiting out-scale Aatrox's drain. |
Levels 1-2 already lean your way: Gangplank is a squishy laner who only wants to last-hit with Parrrley, so step up and punish him with base-stat trades whenever he reaches for a minion or a poke. Deny his free CS, dodge the telegraphed barrels, and don't over-chase into a barrel chain — but do keep the short exchanges going, because a low-armor GP loses every one and you carry that pressure into your level-3 spike.
