She out-pokes the aura — heal through what you can, dodge the keystone, and scale past the rotation.
Track: Morgana's Q — Dark Binding (10s cooldown). The three-second root — minion-block it; the pool follows wherever it lands.

| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Morgana | Level 1 favours Morgana: her Q root threat and W poke control the lane spacing. |
| Level 2 | Morgana | Level 2 favours Morgana: a landed Dark Binding into her ADC can kill you outright. |
| Level 3 | Morgana | Level 3 favours Morgana: Tormented Shadow poke and root cooldown still dictate the lane. |
| Levels 4-5 | Morgana | Level 4 favours Morgana: her CC and poke advantage persist before your items come online. |
| Level 6 | Even / skill | Level 5 is even: both hold ults and neither can safely force the all-in. |
| First item | Sona | First item favours Sona: your sustain and poke out-trade her chip once online. |
| Two+ items | Sona | 2+ items favour Sona: aura DPS and Crescendo outscale her skillshot-reliant kit. |
Levels 1-4 favour Morgana: her Dark Binding root threat and Tormented Shadow poke let her dictate spacing, and a single landed Q into her ADC can kill you outright, so play safe behind the wave and respect the CC. Her binding is slow and single-target, so stay off the line and poke her in the gaps. Cycle the damage stance while it is on cooldown, keep the shield for the pool damage, and let the Power Chord land as a slow the moment she steps forward.
