How to win lane as Neeko against Blitzcrank · 52.86% win rate (1,941 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
The hook audits liars at long cast ranges — clone-split his lines and root the fist's window when he commits anyway.
Track: Blitzcrank's Q — Rocket Grab (20–16s cooldown). The hook IS the champion — minion cover turns the lane into a farming sim.
Read from Neeko's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Blitzcrank.
This is Neeko's own plan; across 1,941 pooled games the lane is leaning Neeko.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Even / skill | Level 1 is a skill standoff decided purely by whether his Q Rocket Grab lands. |
| Level 2 | Even / skill | Level 2 stays even as both spike: his hook threat against your double-Q zone. |
| Level 3 | Even / skill | Level 3 is skill-matched, trading his grab angles against your poke punishes. |
| Levels 4-5 | Even / skill | Levels 4-5 remain even as positioning around the hook decides every trade. |
| Level 6 | Neeko | Level 6 favours you because Pop Blossom AoE-stuns and punishes any hook commit. |
| First item | Blitzcrank | First item favours Blitzcrank as a landed Q now chains into a lethal E-R combo. |
| Two+ items | Even / skill | Two-plus items even out: he's lane-ending on a hit but useless on a miss. |
Levels 1-4 are a pure skill/positioning standoff: Blitzcrank's Q Rocket Grab can end the lane in one cast, but a miss leaves him on a huge cooldown where your Q Blooming Burst and E Tangle-Barbs punish him freely. Always keep a minion between you and Blitz so a hook catches the wave, ward the brush so he can't fish from fog, and only step up to poke when you've seen his Q go out. Whoever respects the hook better wins these levels. Stand behind your own casters so his grab has to travel through something, then answer the cooldown gap with your poke. Send the root through the minion line for the extra width, and save the clone for the moment he has already committed to a hook.
