You outrange most of Lux's short trades once you set up E first — landing Devastating Fire's fear lets you follow with Q for more combined damage than her Q-E can answer with. Watch for level 3 onward when she starts chaining Q into E for full poke combos on cooldown; if you're patient with your own E angles instead of throwing them blind, you win most exchanges through levels 1-3.
