How to win the jungle race as Lillia against Volibear · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Read from Lillia's seat: the race windows this plan plays for against Volibear.
| Stage | Read | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 Clear | Respect Volibear | The Q stun into stacked W bites chunks harder the longer the fight runs — Lillia has no answer to that at level 1. Frenzied Maul bite trades plus passive attack speed win the buff-pit brawl on their half of the map too, so skip the level-1 crossing and answer the pressure cross-map. |
| Level 2 Skirmish | Respect Volibear | Sky Splitter's shield-plus-slow makes their short trades strictly better, and Lillia has no clean answer to it on the second camp — the Q stun into stacked W bites chunks harder the longer the fight runs. Break line of sight before his Q reaches you and never re-engage into the E shield, and give up the second buff rather than the kill. |
| Level 3 Route | Respect Volibear | The window at the opening scuttle belongs to Volibear: Q stun, W reset bite and E shield form a complete early brawling kit. Your own line is real — dream-dust uptime plus W nukes out-pace anything without a dash — but it arrives second here. Break line of sight before his Q reaches you and never re-engage into the E shield, then give up the level-3 river fight. |
| Levels 4-5 Macro | Respect Volibear — Path Opposite | Levels 4-5 still belong to Volibear in a straight fight — farm the opposite side, answer their ganks cross-map, and wait for your spike. |
| Level 6 Breakpoint | Even Ult Window | The Stormbringer drop plus bonus health wins any fight near a contested pit, and Lilting Lullaby answers it almost exactly. Decide this one on setup — vision, numbers and cooldowns — not on the ultimate comparison. |
| First Item Spike | Liandry's Spike | Liandry's turns your dust and burn into real damage, and your kite-duel into a genuine threat even against bruisers. Your clear becomes self-sustaining health-wise and absurd tempo-wise. Force Volibear to contest you at camps where your orbit has room, and melt them when they try. Volibear's first item is where the bite trades stop being even and start ending with your health bar gone. |
| 2+ Items Scaling | Lillia Favoured — Wins Late | Volibear falls off relative to you — from two items on you win the raw stat check, even though he is a bonus-health diver who disables towers and closes the gap with a leap. Drag the game long and force the 1v1s. |
Start the buff that lets you chain into raptors early — your AoE Q wants the chaos camps. Volibear's start side matters little; your clear wins the race regardless, so path for your own efficiency. Volibear clears fast off Frenzied Maul healing and the passive attack speed, and he leaves camps close to full.
