How to win the jungle race as Kha'Zix against Talon · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Read from Kha'Zix's seat: the race windows this plan plays for against Talon.
| Stage | Read | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 Clear | Kha'Zix Favoured | Isolation-bonus Taste Their Fear chunks anyone who face-checks alone. The Noxian Diplomacy bleed wins short trades at shared entrances, so this is an edge and not a blowout — take the level-1 crossing only with the HP and cooldown lead. |
| Level 2 Skirmish | Kha'Zix Favoured | Void Spike's heal-poke wins the slow trade war at river entrances, but Rake's return damage makes mid-range poke trades free for them. You still win the straight exchange on the second camp; keep it short, keep it decisive, and keep the scuttle line yours. |
| Level 3 Route | Kha'Zix Favoured | Iso Q damage at level 3 already deletes squishier junglers caught solo. Talon can make it awkward — the Q-W bleed burst plus wall-hop angles start fights you never saw coming — but not as the first scuttle timer lands. Trade, then walk away with the first scuttle and the gank window behind it. |
| Levels 4-5 Macro | Kha'Zix Favoured — Take Duels | The 4-5 window is yours if you pick it: he wall-hops through 4-5 into lanes that have pushed, and the Rake slow closes every remaining gap. Track that pattern, arrive one camp early, and take the fight before the follow-up shows. |
| Level 6 Breakpoint | Evolution Favoured | Your first evolution means isolated targets simply die — hunt the side brushes, while Shadow Assault stealth plus converging blades burst anyone they touch. You win the breakpoint against Talon, not the whole game — cash it on the first objective after both sides hit six. |
| First Item Spike | Umbral Glaive / Eclipse Spike | Umbral Glaive clears the wards that would spot your approach and Eclipse adds a two-hit burst plus a shield, so an Isolated Taste Their Fear (Q) into Leap (E) now deletes squishy targets outright. Camps fall fast enough to clear a full side and still arrive at a lane. Use the spike to hunt lone targets in river and side lanes rather than joining even teamfights. Talon's first item is the point where the bleed rotation goes from a heavy chunk to a full kill on a squishy. |
| 2+ Items Scaling | Kha'Zix Favoured — Wins Late | The late game is yours. Remember what Talon still is at full build — he removes an isolated carry and leaves over a wall before anyone reacts — and take the fights that do not let it matter. |
Start your clear at the Blue Buff node to optimize early ability haste cycling across single-target nodes before executing a clean full clear path down into the scuttle crab. Talon clears fast with Rake and Noxian Diplomacy bleeds, and the wall-hops mean his path is shorter than yours.
