How to win lane as Nilah against Jhin · 54.84% win rate (4,670 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
His DPS is ranged and yours wears a veil — surf in behind W and the auto war happens entirely on your terms.
Track: Jhin's W — Deadly Flourish (12s cooldown). The cross-map root chains off any damage you took — never linger after a trade.
Read from Nilah's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Jhin.
This is Nilah's own plan; across 4,670 pooled games the lane is leaning Nilah.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Jhin | Level 1 favours Jhin because his Q-grenade and fourth-shot crit out-poke your melee range. |
| Level 2 | Jhin | Level 2 is Jhin's as his auto-attack pressure and Q zone you off CS. |
| Level 3 | Jhin | Level 3 favours Jhin since W-Deadly Flourish root plus support slow threatens a kill you can't answer. |
| Levels 4-5 | Jhin | Levels 4-5 stay Jhin-favoured because his burst and poke out-trade your pre-ult kit. |
| Level 6 | Nilah | Level 6 flips to Nilah as Apotheosis lets you dive and all-in through his reload window. |
| First item | Nilah | First item is Nilah's because you can dash past his fourth shot and dodge W-root to close melee. |
| Two+ items | Nilah | At 2+ items Nilah dives the immobile Jhin in fights and deletes him. |
Levels 1-2 favour Jhin hard: his Q pokes through the wave and his auto-crit every fourth shot punishes any CS walk-up, so you farm behind minions and never trade into his root setup. His grenade bounces through the wave, so stand at the whip's outer reach rather than inside the minion pack. Never step forward while the fourth round is chambered. Once you have the dash, the reload is the only window in the lane, and Jubilant Veil is what carries you through his support's answer.
